    January Theme: Simplify Mindfully

This is the time of year when everyone if full of good intentions. New Year’s resolutions to simplify and get the house in order abound. At Savvy, we’d like to encourage you to simplify mindfully. As you declutter and streamline your possession, we hope that you’ll be conscious of how you dispose of unwanted items and do so in a way that honors the planet. When we dispose of things with care and our thoughts towards how our decisions impact the water, land and air around us, we are making steps towards nontoxic living. Across January and February,  Savvy will give tips, suggestions and support on how to simplify mindfully.

Our First Multi-Chapter Event + Open To The Public: FREE Movie Screening STINK_Poster_2000px_RGB_151016_ef9f6f28-87c6-4729-84d1-b385839a5bbf_grande.jpg

John Whelan was just a dad trying to buy his daughter some cool pajamas. When the perfect pair came with a smell that was not so cool, he embarked on a journey to discover what was so stinky. He found that not even the companies that make our products know exactly what’s in them and that some products on store shelves aren’t safe.

STINK is the movie the chemical industry doesn’t want you to see and documents John’s journey to discover what is in the products we bring into our homes.

Join us for this FREE movie screening our first multi-chapter event (open to guests) in Walpole, MA on January 11th.  After the movie screening, Savvy Founder Kristi Marsh will lead a Q&A with Erica Reilly.

Massachusetts Chapters are gathering for a free screening of STINK this month:

    When:  January 11, 2017 at 6:30 p.m

Where: She Breathes Balance & Wellness in Walpole, Ma

RSVP Soon!  This event is free to all Savvy Chapter Members and to the public.

    Calling All Writers!

As Savvy grows, our writing team needs to grow, too! Savvy is looking for volunteer writers to help us write pieces for our blog, The Savvy Path. Being a professional writer is not necessary. All you need is love for writing and a little time to volunteer your talents. Drop us a line if you’d like to share your wordsmithing with us.

Would You Like To Have Lunch With Kristi?

Looking for a few volunteers to help us at three private luncheons.14440982_10210767049597382_1052844426017795642_n.jpg

Our founder, Kristi Marsh, will be traveling to the West Coast and to speak at three small private luncheons in February. We are looking for a few volunteers to help greet guests for following dates and cities:

    • Tuesday, February 7thManhatten Beach, CA
    • Friday, February 10th - Berkeley, CA
    • Tuesday, February 14th Portland, OR

     Please send us an email.

    Q. I am not an expert at chemicals, nontoxic living, or environmental health. How can I participate in a Chapter?

    A. You are the expert at being you. All that is required to participate is a bit of curiosity and a desire to learn about the little changes you can make to improve your health.  What you will find is that alone none of us knows everything, yet all of us have something to share, and together, the knowledge of just five (or ten or twenty) women is powerful enough to make tremendous changes in your community. Even if every single one is a skeptical beginner. Besides, we will be here supporting you with lots of tools and resources. Would you like to learn more?
